My Pastoral journey began in 2001. When my wife Sabrina and I were serving at Calvary Chapel Eastside
in Bellevue, WA, working with the Jr. High youth group. Sharing the
word of God and seeing the hearts of our youth grow in the Lord gave me
a passion for teaching the word of God. Growing in the word myself and
closer to Jesus, I surrendered all to Him and prayed, “here I am Lord
use me as you see fit.” To my surprise He took me up on my offer and
said to me I want you to go to Omak, WA. Resisting at first, after all
my wife and I did have it made. We were part of a great church, loving
ministry team who supported us and mentored us, a group of youth who we
loved deeply, a church full of friends, a great job that meet all our
needs. Why rock the boat? However, I could not get over the fact the I
heard my Lord's voice and decided to test to see if it truly was from
Him. Through several confirmations and hours of prayer later we left
Bellevue, WA. We started a Bible study in our house several months
after we moved and within a month we had about all the people our
living room could handle. On Easter Sunday 2002 Calvary Chapel Okanogan
Valley had its first gathering as a fellowship. Since our beginning our
Lord Jesus who rose from the dead, has been manifesting His power in us
and through us. Today as a church body our prayer is to be surrendered
to Jesus and yielded to the Holy Spirit that He may use our fellowship
as He sees fit in these last days!
How is your journey?
Are you in the word of God, growing in the things of the Lord. The
truth is He has a plan and a purpose for you! Finding that plan begins
with surrendering your whole heart to Jesus Christ who Loved you enough
to die for your sins while you could care less, and desires today to
have a personal relationship with you. You were created by an awesome
God who wants to do awesome things in and through you.
In His love,
Pastor Ken Kinzle
